Elysium Acres Horse Sanctuary
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Chester, New Hampshire. We are a private, female-operated horse sanctuary dedicated to providing a loving and compassionate forever home for horses that have been rescued by recognized organizations, including NEER North Horse Rescue and New Hampshire SPCA, and retired mounted police horses.
At Elysium Acres, we prioritize the well-being of our sanctuary horses. We provide them with plenty of room to roam and a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive. We enjoy giving back to the horses who have given so much to us. Join us in our mission to offer these deserving and noble animals a safe haven.
Our Sanctuary Mission
The mission of Elysium Acres is to offer a safe, respectful, and peaceful environment for retired mounted police and rescue horses to live out their days with purpose, activity, and productivity.
Simultaneously, our volunteers enjoy a mutually beneficial experience by developing relationships with our horses through hands-on activities, improving their emotional health while building social connections.

Wicked Walk
Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm
A Halloween trail ride and walk for horses and humans. There will be donut stops! Costumes are strongly encouraged for both species.

Derby Day
Friday, 12 pm – 4 pm
Join us for a one-of-a-kind Derby Day beach ride where we celebrate the spirit of the Kentucky Derby our way: on horseback, by the water, with handcrafted hats and great company!
